ANGELO ZOTTARELLI

Angelo Zottarelli was born and raised in San Antonio,Texas. He attended San Antonio Community College and St. Mary's University. Prior to his moving to Austin in the late 1970s, he was Governmental Affairs Director for the San Antonio Board of Realtors and worked on city and county issues on behalf of the Board in front of the City Council, Commissioners Court and related Boards and Commissions. During his tenure at the capitol, he served as Chief Clerk for the Texas House Committee on Insurance, chaired by Bob Simpson (R-Amarillo,) Clerk for the House Committee on Environmental Affairs, chaired by Bennie Bock (D-New Braunfels), and as a legislative aide to Rene Oliveira (D-Brownsville.)

He also worked for Lt. Governor Bill Hobby. In 1983 Zottarelli began lobbying in front of the Texas Legislature as well as the legislatures of other states and in Washington, DC. Zottarelli was on his own from 1983 through 1985, at which time he joined the law firm of Hughes & Luce and was with that firm until 1992. In 1992, Don Adams and Angelo Zottarelli left Hughes & Luce and formed their own partnership of Adams & Zottarelli. Over the last twenty years Zottarelli has had extensive experience in a wide range of Legislative issues including cities and counties, financial services, education, electric, environmental, oil and gas, procurement, public health, tax and technology. He has represented those interests in front of various House and Senate committees, as well as various state agencies with statutory jurisdiction over the aforementioned industries.

Additionally, Zottarelli has done extensive work in the area of state appropriations having represented clients before both the House Appropriations Committee and the Senate Finance Committee. Further, Zottarelli also has represented numerous clients before the United States House of Representatives and the United States Senate and has also worked in other states on his clients behalf. Zottarelli has been active with the City of Austin having served on the City of Arts Commission, Downtown Commission and also the Joint Task Force on State Lands. He has been a member of the West Austin Neighborhood Association and has served on the Board of Directors of Ballet Austin and the Legislative Committee for the Greater Austin Chamber of Commerce. Zottarelli is also involved in the ranching business running a herd of Registered and Commercial Brangus cattle on ranches in Hamilton and Mills Countries.

He is a member of the International Brangus Breeders Association where he serves on the Finance and Breed promotion Committees. He is also a member of the Texas Brangus Breeders Association and the and Southwest Cattle Raisers Association.

Zottarelli is married and the father of four daughters and grandfather of two.
